Wall-Hung vs. Floor-Standing Toilet
Wall-hung toilets (with in-wall cistern frame) are more expensive to install — the frame is built into the wall and tiling must be done around it. However, they are easier to clean, give a cleaner look, and the flush height is adjustable. Budget an extra 15,000–30,000 RSD compared to floor-standing.
When to Replace Only Fixtures vs. Full Renovation
Replace only fixtures when:
- Tiles are in good condition and you like them
- Plumbing positions don't need to move
- There are no leaks behind the walls
- The room layout works for you
Consider a full renovation when:
- Tiles are cracked or grout is severely stained
- You want to move the shower or toilet position
- There are signs of damp or mould in the walls
- The bathroom is more than 25–30 years old
